10 Days: Uganda - Rwanda Gorilla Tours

Join us on a remarkable Uganda and Rwanda gorilla tour, where nature's wonders unfold before your eyes, and unforgettable memories are etched into your soul. Discover the magic of the gorillas and the profound connection that binds us all to the natural world.

Day 1  - Lake Bunyonyi

You will be picked up with Super Africa Wildlife Adventure Safaris representative from the airport and be transferred to Kabale, about 410 kilometers south-west of Kampala. You will have lunch en route. Later you will go for an evening boat ride along Lake Bunyonyi ("Place of many little birds").

Day 2 - To Rwanda

Wake up early for breakfast and then later have a Kabale city tour before you proceed to the south western corner of Uganda. You will clear visas at the border and then later enter Kinigi. Lunch en route, Dinner and over night at the lodge

Day 3 - Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda

Take breakfast, and assemble at the Headquarters of the Park where you will meet your ranger guide(s) for a briefing about the greatest gorilla and apes experience ever! We will drive you to the inclines of one of the Virunga volcanoes for trekking. After the trekking, if time allows lunch at Ruhengeri and an excursion to explore the beautiful Lakes Bulera & Ruhondo. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Dinner and over night at the lodge

Day 4 - Bwindi Gorilla Safari

After breakfast you will drive back to Uganda - then to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. You will have lunch along the way and then have dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 05 : Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast at the lodge, proceed to the park headquarters to be briefed about the trekking and meet the game ranger. There are nine habituated gorilla groups in Bwindi today that include: Kahungye, Rushegura, Nkuringo, Kyaguriro, Mubare, Oruzogo, Bitukura, Habinyanja as well as Nshongi. This normally takes approximately 8 hours or even less basing on which place they were last seen the day before.
It requires some physical fitness since you ascend steep hills as you search for the gorillas. If you get exhausted, there are porters to help carry you at an additional fee. Trekking is really a mysterious activity that will raise your hopes until you eventually meet the amazing Mountain Gorillas. Eventually meeting the Mountain Gorillas will be fascinating as you will observe them go about their routine work see the silverback play with the young ones, others resting and Mothers feeding babies. You are allowed to take photos of them which will remind you of the great safari you enjoyed here in Uganda. Certainly this will turn out as one of the most exciting days of your entire life. Head back to the lodge for your dinner and night's rest.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park

We will depart early with our packed lunch for Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will drive through the southern sector of a remote and beautiful extension of Queen Elizabeth National Park known as Ishasha, famed for its tree-climbing lions. After checking in and having some time to relax, we will head for a late afternoon game drive. We often spot Elephants, waterbucks, warthogs, hippos and others.

Day 7: The Kazinga Channel

Following an early breakfast, have a morning game drive led by Super Africa Wildlife Adventure Safaris guide to see the nocturnal predators as well as the early morning risers like lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, leopards, waterbucks, elephants, antelope species hippos and warthogs. Return back for lunch after which you will have a 2 hour boat-cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This channel is a natural attraction for water birds while the Mweya peninsula serves as a migrant trap for Albertine Rift Endemics. On the banks of the channel you will spot bird species like the Great White & Pink-backed Pelicans, the African Open billed Stork, the Black Crake, Yellow-backed Weaver, the Great & Long-tailed Cormorants, the Common Squacco Heron, Malachite, the White-faced Whistling as well as Knob billed Ducks, Yellow-backed Weaver, the African Fish Eagle, Spur-winged & African Wattled Plovers, Water Thick Knee, Swamp Flycatcher as well as the African Jacana.

Day 8: Kibale National Park

Right after your morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and set off to Kibale Forest prominent for its great Chimpanzees. This drive is very thrilling as you will view the crater lakes plus the dense vegetation surrounding the area. Check into your accommodation where you will have lunch. Your lodge offer amazing views looking over the park hence making your holiday there a comfortable and unforgettable one. You will have a nocturnal game walk in the evening guided by the park ranger within Kibale Forest. Among the nocturnal animals you will see are: potto, bush babies plus night birds. This is a very exciting walk that is only available in this park across the country. It is awesome since you will sight other animals roaming around the park in the night. Head back to the lodge for your night's rest.

Day 9: To Murchison Falls National Park

You will transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Hoima with lunch en route Visit the top of the falls and then retire for Dinner and slumber. Murchison Falls national park is the largest protected wildlife area in the whole of Uganda covering 3,840 square kilometers. Move to the top of the Falls to view the natural beauty of these falls. at this place, The river squeezes throw a 7 meter narrow gorge from a width of more than 1 km and drops below with a thunderous roar forming a water spray that rainbow that results into a stunning rainbow - the wonders of Nile River!

Day 10: Nile River

Following an early breakfast, explore the northern part hosting a high number of savannah wildlife. This game drive offers great opportunities for photography of lions, elephants, Uganda kobs, buffalos, giraffes, waterbucks as well as hippos, and in case you are fortunate even the leopards, in addition to a diversity of bird species. You will then have lunch followed by a 2 hour boat-cruise to the bottom of the Murchison falls from where great volumes water escapes through the small gorge forming an immense thunderous roar. During this boat ride you will see several water birds plus mammals in big numbers. Head back to the lodge where you will dine and slumber
