Check-in to your accommodation that is well located with a nice view looking over the Impenetrable Forest. This is wonderful and spectacular to all visitors who have got this opportunity to see them in the lodge's vicinity. Enjoy the nighttime sounds of this forest as you finally sleep.

Day 2 - Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest Uganda

Wake up very early for breakfast and then transferred by your Super Africa Wildlife Adventure Safaris guide to the park Headquarters to be oriented and meet your Ranger guide. There you will be separated into groups of 8 basing on the gorilla family you are tracking. Tracking takes anything from 2 hours to the entire day however all this is exciting as you views some other primates, plants, small animals and birds along the way. Gorilla trekking  is really a mysterious activity as you will see butterflies, plants, and birds. This requires a bit of physical fitness because you will move up the steep mountain to find the gorillas. Eventually meeting the Mountain Gorillas, You'll watch them do their day to day routine, play, rest and feed their young ones. You are allowed to take photographs as long as you turn the flash of your camera off. You will certainly enjoy this memorable moment with them and this experience is well worth your money and time. Mountain Gorillas don't live in zoos however can only be seen in Africa with a couple of them still surviving.  At the end of the trek, you can opt to stay with the Bwindi area or visit the Batwa people in the evening who will entertain and narrate African story or alternatively drive to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi found in Kabale to enjoy the beautiful scenery and sleep at Heritage Lodge or Arcadia Cottages.

Basing on the time and your energy, you may continue for a village walk to interact with the Batwa people. These African pygmies live and survive on Bwindi forest. You will also visit the women's handcraft shop, the traditional healer, a community school as well as observe the preparation of the local brew. If time allows, you will listen to their traditional stories and be entertained with cultural dance and songs as a gesture of thanking you for your visit. This will finally end this adventurous day within Bwindi. Head back to your lodge for your dinner and the night's rest.
From here you will leave into the forest and start your Gorillas in the Mist experience. You will hike through this mystical and spectacular forest and then there is a lot more to see as you search for the Mountain Gorilla Group.  The plant life and animals, the various other primates, butterflies, mammals and birds will be very breathtaking and only improve your adventure experience.
The tracking may incorporate some strenuous climbing as well as hiking however, when you finally come face to face with the strong yet gentle large Mountain Gorillas, watching them only a couple of meters from where you will be standing, viewing the group, seeing mothers with their babies, seeing the gorillas go about the day to day activities is all very fascinating.  You will never find a mountain gorilla staying in the zoo but just within this small part of Africa where the surviving mountain gorillas can be seen. Luckily and because of a lot work, the gorillas are thriving as well as surviving in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and it is here that you will have an opportunity to personally see them up close. Later on, you will head back to the park headquarters based on the time plus your physical energy you may have an optional village walk (not part of price), to encounter the impressive lifestyle of the native people living around the forest. You will observe how they locally brew beer, check out the local medicinal plants that they locally use. You will enjoy some traditional dances and entertainment all worth experiencing on this  gorilla safari in Uganda.
