Day 1: Arrival

You will be received at the airport by the Super Africa Wildlife Adventure Safaris designated representative after which you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay. Depen ding on your arrival time, you will be able to do optional excursions in the city.

Day 2: Nairobi - Mau Mau Cave

After breakfast you will be picked by Super Africa Wildlife Adventure Safaris driver-guide. Thereafter you will depart by road driving to The Mau Mau Caves at the foothills of Mt Kenya. You will have lunch on the way. On arrival you will head for nature walk at the caves. These caves open out to a beautiful waterfall and pass-through rocks on Burguret River. Once shielded by a dense forest cover, these caves near Nanyuki are well known for their historical significance. Later you shall proceed back to your lodge before dark in readiness for a delightful dinner and oversight stay.

Day 3: Mau Mau Cave - Drive To Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast you will drive to Samburu Game Reserve, a semi-arid region of the nomadic Samburu people. Arrive at the camp or lodge in time for lunch, followed by some leisure hours for a siesta or swim before you depart for an afternoon game viewing drive. Later you shall proceed back to your lodge before dark in readiness for a delightful dinner and oversight stay.

Day 4: Samburu National Reserve

Today after your breakfast you will head to the reserve for a full day game drives in search for the big five as well as the Samburu five animals that are usually only found north of the equator. They include the long necked gerenuk, the reticulated giraffe which is characterized by its liver-colored geometric patches defined by narrow white lines, the Grevy’s zebra which is smaller than the common zebra and looks more like a horse, the beisa oryx with black horizontal stripe running across its lower flank and the Somali ostrich males which have blue-grey necks and thighs. You will have lunch break followed by more game dives in the reserve. Later you shall proceed back to your lodge before dark in readiness for a delightful dinner and oversight stay.

Day 5: Samburu  -  Lake Nakuru

After breakfast you will be transferred to Lake Nakuru with lunch en-route. Upon arrival you will proceed to Lake Nakuru national park for game drive. You will enjoy the elegant view of exceptionally greater and lesser flamingos in their thousands as well as other water birds including a variety of terrestrial birds. During your game drive you will have an opportunity of seeing the endangered white rhino species among other wide variety of wildlife. Later in the evening you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru -   Masai Mara (325km)

You will enjoy an early breakfast then drive to Maasai Mara National reserve via Narok town, the authentic homeland of the Maasai tribe. The proud, young and brave Maasai warriors Morans with their plaited hair, red cloaks, and spears, will certainly challenge your curiosity. This 700-square-mile Game Reserve is the African theatre of your dreams; complete with wide range of wild animals grazing amid the superb rolling landscapes surrounded by gentle hills and acacia woodlands. You will have lunch en route followed by an afternoon game drive in the reserve led by Super Africa Wildlife Adventure Safaris expert guide. Thereafter, you shall have a delightful dinner in the campsite and proceed to the lodge for an oversight stay.

Day 7: Masai Mara

Optional:

Today there will be a high possibility and an exciting opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride. You will take off very early in the morning, in a buoyant hot air balloon into the skies for the ultimate Maasai Mara wildlife adventure. Like an eagle you will soar over herds of game to the inner reaches of the Mara. You'll ascend in the early morning, when winds are calmest. Watch as the professional crew fills the flaccid balloon with hot air. Slowly the gigantic, colorful bag begins to bulge and take shape. You will hold your breath aboard the traditional wicker gondola basket while the expert pilot makes final adjustments. As the pink and red fireball of the sun rises in splendor over the plains, you're up, up and away - for the flight of a lifetime! Your balloon can soar over the most inaccessible and undisturbed parts of the Mara, with only the intermittent whisper of the balloon's gas burners punctuating the silence of your majestic flight. Because wind and weather conditions vary, every flight presents a completely new and unique experience! From your vantage point about 50-500 feet above the reserve, you have a fantastic 360-degree bird's-eye view of the most dramatic scenes in nature as they unfold beneath you. Depending on the season, you might witness exasperatingly delicate herd of antelopes flowing like schools of fish across the plain, groups of elephants grazing undisturbed in a remote ravine, lionesses stealthily stalking a herd of grunting wildebeest, or zebras conferring in a confusion of black and white stripes and bark-like calls. After your incredible flight, it's time to come back down to earth for breakfast. As you sip champagne and dig into a splendid breakfast of sizzling bacon, eggs, sausage, home-made breads, fresh tropical fruit and steaming cups of Kenyan coffee or tea under the clear blue sky, you might wonder what all the ordinary people are doing on this perfect African morning! Before leaving, the pilot will present you with your balloon flight certificate. You can be sure that after this experience that no flight can match this airborne experience!

After the spectacular balloon ride you will continue with your game drive in Masai Mara in search of the big five and other animals. You will have a lunch break followed by more game drives till evening when you return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After your breakfast, you will pick your packed lunch and set out for a full day game drive in the reserve under the expert guidance of Super Africa Wildlife Adventure Safaris guide in search of the big five and other animals. Lions, cheetahs and leopards roams the vast grasslands in search for their next meal, it may be an unsuspecting impala or even a small one like the warthog whatever the players, the spectacle of nature unfolding is always awesome and inspiring! You will have a lunch break followed by more game drives till evening when you return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Masaai Mara - Lake Naivasha

After breakfast you will leave Masai Mara and transferred to Lake Naivasha with lunch en-route. Upon arrival you will check into your accommodation and enjoy a free afternoon. You could sit back at the bar and enjoy a cold drink, play a game of pool or engage in optional excursions like cycling around the village or hire a small power boat for a trip out on to the lake. An option worth considering is a visit Elsamere Conservation, the home of the late Joy and George Adamson. Joy is famous for her book 'Born Free' and was an artist of great standing. Later in the evening you will settle down for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Crescent Island

Today after breakfast you will take a boat ride to Crescent Island for game walk. Crescent Island is an animal and bird sanctuary on the eastern side of Lake Naivasha that is also home to Masai giraffe, zebra, dik diks, steenbok, impala and gazelles. It is also a heaven for birds with over 200 species recorded. The lake has a lot of hippos, which you can easily spot from the island. You will either return to your lodge for lunch or enjoy the packed lunch you carried in the sanctuary. Later in the evening you will be transferred to you lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day  10:  Lake Naivasha- Amboseli

After breakfast you will be transferred Amboseli National Park with lunch en-route. On arrival you will head to the park for an evening game drive. With the majestic backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro, you will have spectacular view of wildlife such as; lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo and diverse plains' game. Postcard perfect and ‘talking’ pictures are almost always guaranteed. You will later be driven to your lodge for a well-deserved dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Amboseli

Today you will head to the park for a full day game drive. You will leave your lodge with packed lunch and continue with you game drive till evening after which you will return to your lodge for a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay. Did you know that the cool waters from Mt. Kilimanjaro drain under the lava rocks and resurface in Amboseli creating a green belt of swampland amidst dusty plains? The landscape provides limited forest cover that guarantees a better chance of seeing some of the predominant wild animals like; buffaloes, lions, gazelles, cheetahs, wildebeest, hyenas, jackals, warthogs, Masai giraffes, zebras, baboons, and waterbucks.

Day 12: Amboseli - Nairobi 

After your breakfast you will leave for Nairobi. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel or to the airport for your flight to the next destination. This will mark the end of your trip with Super Africa Wildlife Adventure Safaris Limited.
